A big high five to students, Aubrey (NES) who won $250 and Ozzie (EJHS) who won a family meal each month for a year from Zaxby's! We're also super excited for staff members, Leah (EJMS) who takes home $500, Michelle (JCTC) who snagged $250, and Karen (WES) scored the Zaxby's meals.

Meet Aaron — a proud EJHS alum who took his school spirit to a different level by joining the Colts as a WJHS teacher. From walking the halls as a student to now shaping young minds as an educator, Aaron is living proof that JCS graduates go far… and sometimes, they come right back home to make a difference. We’re so proud to have Aaron as a member of the JCS family, inspiring the next generation every day!
The Warner Elementary cafeteria staff contacted AMCOR and asked if they were willing to donate to their students' last week of school festivities. AMCOR was glad to help and donated 500 beautiful frisbees.. As a thank you, art teacher, Miles Johnson, worked with his students to draw pictures and make a beautiful mosaic. What a great collaborative way to end the year!

Meet Mattie, a WJHS Colt alum who’s traded her red for Jaguar threads as a teacher at EJHS! She may have once cheered against the cross-town rivals, but now she’s all about teamwork, teaching, and building a brighter future for all students—no matter the mascot. We're lucky to have Mattie in our district, inspiring the next generation of JCS graduates!
Arts for All Kentucky provides arts and education programs that allow people with disabilities to fully participate in the arts. RDES students have been a part of this program for almost ten years! Students submitted artwork in the fall and a couple were chosen to be a part of this traveling art show.
This year, artwork from RDES 5th graders Gabriel Guy and Graclyn Hammons was chosen to be a part of this project. When you get a chance, check out their artwork, along with artwork from other Kentucky students, in RDES display case.
Arts for All Kentucky is a wonderful non-profit organization dedicated to promoting arts education and creative expression for everyone. Their annual Student Traveling Art Exhibit provides a platform for these incredible young artists to share their unique perspectives with schools, museums, businesses, libraries, and hospitals throughout the Commonwealth. Teachers are encouraged to submit their students' artwork each fall for future exhibitions.
