Arts for All Kentucky provides arts and education programs that allow people with disabilities to fully participate in the arts. RDES students have been a part of this program for almost ten years! Students submitted artwork in the fall and a couple were chosen to be a part of this traveling art show.
This year, artwork from RDES 5th graders Gabriel Guy and Graclyn Hammons was chosen to be a part of this project. When you get a chance, check out their artwork, along with artwork from other Kentucky students, in RDES display case.
Arts for All Kentucky is a wonderful non-profit organization dedicated to promoting arts education and creative expression for everyone. Their annual Student Traveling Art Exhibit provides a platform for these incredible young artists to share their unique perspectives with schools, museums, businesses, libraries, and hospitals throughout the Commonwealth. Teachers are encouraged to submit their students' artwork each fall for future exhibitions.

So very proud of our drivers for continuing to make positive impacts on students!

Shout out to Jeff Prigge and Kenneth Crutcher for being named May's Driver and Monitor of the Month. Both work tirelessly to create a safe environment for their students. Thanks so much for all you do every day!

A round of applause goes out to Jessamine County Schools for being recognized as a #BestCommunitiesforMusicEducation by the @nammfoundation! We are one in 6 counties in Kentucky to receive this national award.
Congratulations to our dedicated students, teachers, administrators, and community members!
Now in its 26th year, the Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement for providing music access and education to all students.

🎉 A bittersweet celebration honoring the incredible careers and well-deserved retirements of Joe Beers and Walt Leaumont!
💻 Mr. Beers has been the heart of our computer science program from the very beginning. He has been with Jessamine County Schools for 27 years—19 of those at JCTC. He’s been a go-to tech expert, a creative force, and a mentor to so many.
He’s also played a huge role in Kentucky’s Digital Design and Game Development pathway, leaving a statewide mark that won’t be forgotten.
🇺🇸 Lieutenant Colonel Walter Leaumont has spent 9 incredible years of service at JCTC. Walt didn’t just teach Military Leadership—he built the program from the ground up. He’s impacted hundreds of students, many of whom have gone on to serve our country with honor.
While we’re going to miss them both big time, we’re excited for them to enjoy some well-earned downtime! Congratulations to Joe and Walt!

Happy National School Nurse Day!
Today we celebrate the incredible school nurses who care for our students with compassion and expertise.. From bandages to big 💙, they’re always there when we need them. Thank you for keeping our schools healthy & safe!

How does a great teacher spark curiosity and ignite a passion for learning? By creating immersive, hands-on experiences that students never forget.
At EJHS, Mrs. Propes transformed the classroom into a mini-museum, sharing a collection of World War II artifacts. This powerful, up-close encounter with history brought the past to life in a way textbooks never could.
JCS is proud to celebrate educators like Mrs. Propes who go above and beyond to make learning meaningful and memorable. #TeacherAppreciationWeek #ThankATeacher
