We are proud to highlight Lena, a Student of the Month who exemplifies the JCS Graduate Profile Pillar of Work Ethic! All semester long, Lena has set the standard in the classroom. She brings a positive attitude each day, shows up prepared and punctual, and is deeply considerate of those around her. Lena is engaged in her learning, thoughtfully contributes to discussions, and isn’t afraid to seek deeper understanding by asking meaningful questions. Her consistency, dedication, and genuine enthusiasm for learning make her stand out as a true leader among her peers. Way to go, Lena!

After serving as a peer tutor at school last year, Kendall knew she wanted to continue giving back by volunteering at her church, Southland Christian Church. She now volunteers nearly every Sunday in the Special Needs class, Super Stars, where she loves building connections with the students and making a meaningful difference in their lives. Through this experience, Kendall truly embodies what it means to be a Connected Citizen, engaging with her community through empathy, service, and meaningful relationships and learning more about herself along the way. Outside of school and church, Kendall can be found at Mindy’s Jessamine School of Classical Dance, where she has been dancing for 12 years. Kendall gives her all in everything she does.
