Today we’re wearing pink as part of Kindness Week 💗 Pink is more than a color...it’s a reminder. A reminder to lead with compassion, to choose gentle words, and to treat others with respect. Kindness doesn’t end with Valentine’s Day. It’s something we carry with us every single day—in our classrooms, on our teams, in the hallways, and in our community. Let today be a visible sign of an invisible commitment: to show up for one another, to lift each other up, and to make our school a place where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported. Kindness looks good on us.

School may not be in session but the love we have for our counselors is always in season! Today we are recognizing Ms. Long for National School Counseling Week. Let's see what our Jaguars have to share about her!
"Ms. Long consistently goes the extra mile to ensure every student feels cared for and supported. She holds high expectations and encourages students to rise to them in all that they do. It is not uncommon to see Ms. Long advocating for students on a daily basis, helping them grow, feel valued, and truly supported." -EJHS Administrator
"Ms. Long effortlessly connects with students from all walks of life, using her expertise, relatable personality, and engaging sense of humor to crack even the hardest walls and connect with students in ways others cannot. She builds trust and empowers students to grow and positively modify their behaviors, all while tirelessly creating a safe, supportive environment where students feel cared for, advocated for, and valued. She is a true friend, an invaluable mentor, and a joy to work alongside! We could not imagine our team without her." -EJHS Colleague

For National School Counseling Week, today we’re celebrating Tammy Baker, our registrar. Her expertise, care, and dedication keep our counseling office running smoothly and our Jaguars supported every day. Let's see what other Jaguars have to share about Ms. Baker!
"Tammy Baker is truly the glue that holds our counseling office together. She is a master at ensuring every detail is in place for our students during enrollment, while also being a steady, comforting presence for students who stop by to meet with a counselor. We are incredibly thankful for her dedication to EJHS."
-EJHS Administrator
"Ms. Baker brings an incredible depth of experience to our counseling office. Her knowledge of all things counseling is unmatched, and our counselors rely on her daily for her expertise, organization, and management of the office. She keeps everything running smoothly, often behind the scenes, in ways that truly impact students’ success. What sets Ms. Baker apart, though, is who she is as a person. She is genuine, authentic, and deeply caring, and she connects with our students in a way that is both natural and meaningful. Students trust her, feel seen by her, and know they are supported the moment they walk through our doors. Her presence is a gift to our school, and her impact on EJHS is felt far beyond her role."
