From California to Kentucky, we’re thrilled to welcome Mr. Hagar to our Jaguar family! He’s bringing his passion for math to the classroom, along with a love for role playing games, video games, board games, and reading. And if you really want to win him over, just mention pugs—his favorite!

This is a great opportunity to practice for the SAT, qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program, and strengthen your Governor’s Scholars Program application. If you are interested, make sure to sign up by September 20 at the link in Google Classroom. For more details about the test, visit the College Board website at https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/psat-nmsqt

Mr. Daniel Correll recently moved to his farm in Garrard County and wanted to teach at a school close to his new home. He looks forward to working with students and helping them grow into the people they are capable of becoming. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, working with animals, playing with his kids, traveling, and learning new things. He is excited to be a Jaguar.

As we move through the week, let’s remember the anchors that keep us steady at East!

We are so thankful for our School Resource Officer and the important role he plays in keeping our students and staff safe every day. Beyond ensuring our school is secure, he builds strong relationships with our students, serves as a trusted mentor, and is always ready with a helping hand or listening ear. His presence brings peace of mind to our entire school community, and we are grateful for his dedication, kindness, and commitment to making East Jessamine a safe and welcoming place for all.

Save the date juniors and seniors!

We’ve been highlighting the JCS Graduate Profile this year, and now we want to take a closer look at each part, especially what it means for seniors in their final year who are pursuing the Work Ready Seal and Recognition program. This resource was created by one of our own, East graduate and FCS teacher, Hanna Hager!
